- Style and Main Method During Tutorial
I like to use real world, practical examples to take the mystery out of complex or dry theory and show that there are real things you can do with what you have learned.
I try to avoid just using complex mathematical explanations to show how something works.
As someone who struggled with maths and then was lucky enough to get an excellent teacher I can appreciate how tough it is to absorb 'boring' theory.
Instead I prefer to use examples students may have come across already at home or by using true stories from the history of science to gain interest.
I got into electronics and computing by fixing stuff other people had thrown away and I like to encourage students to learn by actually doing rather than just talking and reading about the subject.
