Saxophone and Saxophone Quartet teaching

Associate Dipolma of Trinity College London in Solo Saxophone Recital, passed with distinction (2006)
Description:
Hello there,

Saxophone and Science tution is a bit of a strange combination I know but they are two of my passions in life!

I began playing the saxophone 6 years ago, after playing the flute since I was 8. I play the baritone, tenor and alto saxophones and am looking forward to completing the set with a soprano when I can afford one! I have sat 3 trinity college exams on Saxophone (grade 8 to ATCL) which I passed with distinction for all of them. I am planning on sitting my LTCL in August.
I have also played in the NZ National Chamber Music Finals with my saxophone quartet in 2004 (top 8 groups in the country), and have travelled to Melbourne Australia to perform in the Saxophone & Clarinet Conference (2005).

With my saxophone teaching I like to concentrate on performance techniques, as well as group pieces to keep things social and fun!!
I am also available to teach beginner flute, clarinet, and piano.

Now for the Science!

I am currently a student at Canterbury University where I am just about to enter my third year. I was accepted into the Canterbury University pre-honours programme for Chemistry and hope to complete my BSc degree with honours in 2009. I am studing a double major in both Chemistry and Biochemistry.

I am happy to teach NCEA level subjects especially in Chemistry and Science, also up to NCEA level 2 maths and NCEA level 3 Statistics. I went through NCEA myself from 2003-2005.

Prices: Private Saxophone lessons $20 per half hour lesson.
NCEA tuition (Chemistry, Science etc) $20 per hour.
Groups lessons may be available depending on interest and availability, prices will vary.

I teach saxophone from home, however I am no stranger to driving so I am fine with meeting at other venues (ie school or library).
