I have a BSc (majoring in Biology and Chemistry) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Chemistry. I was a lecturer in Chemistry at the Fiji Institute of Technology and the University of the South PAcific before I migrated to New Zealand 5 years ago.

I spent a couple of years working in commercial and research and development laboratories mainly in veterinary pharmaceutical departments around Auckland.

However I have come back to what I enjoyed the most that is working with students and showing them the path of success attained through good guidance on my part and lot of effort from their side.

Currently I am tutoring CIE Biology and Chemistry AS/A and NCEA 1,2 and 3 level students privately at either their homes or at my place.

Description:
I use a variety of mediums to get the meassage across to students on any particular aspect of Biology and Chemistry.

I have access to a lot of resources such as textbooks, reference materials, CD-roms and past examination papers.

Because I have some private students, I usually take my laptop to their places and also do animated presentations that I have prepared for them.

�I found that after I had been learning French for approximately 9 months I was keen to accelerate my progress and enlisted Jean-Marie�s help. I enrolled with him for a weekly lesson for 3 months. I explained to him that I was already studying at the local Alliance Fran�aise here in Auckland and that I needed some �back up� assistance. Jean-marie�s style is relaxed and flexible. His philosophy of learning the basics and learning them well provides a sound platform from which to progress in a confident manner. Jean-marie believes in correcting errors as they arise in order to avoid recurring bad habits. This has paid off and he has particularly helped me with my pronunciation to the extent that my improvement has been noted by my Alliance class mates. I know that learning a new language is a long road (with many ups and downs) but I am now more confident than ever that it�s a happening thing for me and I�m definitely into this language for the long haul.
