I'm just finishing my second year of a Bachelor of Commerce Administration and Bachelor of Science conjoint at Victoria. My majors are Maths, Psychology and Marketing.

Maths has always been a passion of mine (as much as maths can ever really be called a passion), and so as a tutor I hope to pass on some of my enthusiasm for the subject.
At Uni I'm involved in a mentoring programme for Maori and Pacific Island students as a tutor. My grades have always been great, and this year I received a Bonded Merit Scholarship from the government as well as a summer research scholarship to research human memory.
Outside of uni I enjoy playing squash, basketball and indoor netball, and I also love running and skiing.

I'm currently in my fourth year on my Mechanical Engineering Bachelor (Hons) at Auckland University. (Sustaining an A average)
I speak excellent english.
My style of tutoring is focusing on where the student is having trouble understanding specific areas of the syllabus, explaining the material in as simple terms as possible and then using the textbook, going through examples and previous exams with the students to help cement the concepts.

I don't mind meeting anywhere for tutouring, if the student finds it easier to concerntrate in a library that is fine, else usually home is more practical.

Through my engineering degree I have gained a much deeper understanding in maths and physics. I also took chemistry and geography up to year 13 so if you would like to ask a few extra questions during the tutorials on those subjects I would be happy to help.

I studied NCEA German at school (so I understand the structure) and received a scholarship award. I have only achieved A+ in my German Language papers (stage 2 and stage 3) at University and was awarded with a Senior Prize in German.

I have been to Germany three times- once as a student exchange student, once for a holiday and my last trip was from December- March 2009. I had received a scholarship to study an intensive German course at the University of Freiburg, which was awarded to top students of German in Australasia and South America.
