I am a 3rd year medical student who completed the HSFY (health science first year) course in 2008 with a 98% average. I have had extensive experience tutoring fellow students in an informal setting starting from my time in high school. In 2009 I started tutoring healthsci students in a formal setting, and received positive feedback from the students I taught.

Most of the students I tutor are HSFY students aspiring to enter a professional course. My approach is to focus on what their goals are for entry into 2nd year, and work from this information. This means I not only provide help for the paper I am tutoring, but also any assistance that will be useful, such as how to study, tips for the UMAT, and preparation for the dentistry interview i.e. an individualised approach.

I am also flexible when arranging tutoring. Students can choose to have only a few sessions during the semester near before tests or exams, or opt for weekly tutoring instead. The choice is left up to the student, and I do my best to accommodate. Futhermore I am readily contactable by email to answer any questions that students may have as they progress through the course.
