| Description: Hi, I'm Roz. I'm an experienced (+4 years) high school science teacher, specialising in Biology and Physics which I currently teach at NCEA Level 2. I also teach NCEA level 1 science, and have extensive experience teaching chemistry to this level. I am currently teaching full-time in a large South Auckland high school. I am an enthusiastic teacher and tutor, and I am happy to let the student tell me how he or she learns best so I can adapt sessions to best suit their needs. I believe in independent learning and note-taking, and think a page of notes the student has made is worth far more than ten pages of printed notes from the tutor that will get skim-read at best! I am also an experienced in exam marking and technique and will help students learn how to answer assessment questions correctly and understand what is expected from them by the examiner. I am fluent in English, but have a lot of experience teaching ESOL students and helping them get to grips with the difficult vocabulary involved in biology and science. I am happy to travel to the student's home or meet in a library or other suitable venue.
