I was working in the University of Auckland as an in class tutor in Mathematics. Being an experienced tutor, I also look for ways to find private students or to let them find me. I find Tutorshome very helpful because it allows me to advertise online for free. I constantly receive leads from the website, many of which turned into jobs. Since I always provide high quality tutorials, these students are refering more and more students to me. Here's my advice: it is always hard to get the first a few jobs, but once you get the jobs you must provide top quality classes to become referable. Word of mouth is certainly the best way to promote yourself. However, I must say thank you to Tutorshome for giving me such a good way to advertise. I have referred Tutorshome to many of my former colleagues in the Math Department.

I am currently studying Maths 108 at Auckland Uni. In the past couple of weeks I have had a few tutoring sessions with Joanne Mann and found her incredibly helpful. Not only does she know the material really well, but I found it easy to communicate with her, and she explained everything really well. There arent many University maths tutors around so I would recommend Jo to anyone needing one.
